EPS Germany Presents New Railway Protection Solutions at Rail Live! Madrid

E.P.S. Germany GmbH, operating under the Rudolf Waechter railway technology brand, successfully exhibited at Rail Live! Madrid, one of Europe’s leading railway industry events held at IFEMA Madrid.

During the exhibition, EPS Germany introduced two new developments in the field of railway infrastructure protection and voltage limiting technology (VLD), attracting strong interest from railway operators, system integrators and infrastructure specialists.

A major highlight was the presentation of the VLD1 system with integrated monitoring, designed for continuous supervision of operational parameters such as current, voltage behaviour and device temperature. The monitoring capability enables early detection of abnormal operating conditions and supports predictive maintenance strategies for railway infrastructure and signalling installations.

In addition, EPS Germany presented its new high-performance VLD 2.2 device, currently the most powerful solution within the company’s voltage limiting technology portfolio. The device is engineered to withstand demanding electrical conditions typical for modern traction power networks and critical rail-side installations.

Both innovations received significant attention from industry professionals, reflecting the growing demand for intelligent protection systems that combine electrical robustness with operational transparency and cost-efficient infrastructure protection.

Rail Live! provided an important platform for technical exchange and discussions about increasing railway infrastructure resilience, improving operational reliability and implementing modern monitoring concepts within existing rail networks.

EPS Germany thanks all visitors and partners for the strong interest and looks forward to continuing discussions at future railway industry events.
